Way Out

There's no way out

Fortress
05:13
|
|||
Time flies by like a poisoned arrow,
the river runs red with the blood of a brand new day.
Moonlight gets sent to the gallows,
It bids a fond farewell and fades away.
Last day of the old ways.
Wildfires on the fields they harrow,
the giver gave way and fanned the flames.
Hewn back to the dirt it wallows,
the season's seeds eat Earth's decay.
Fire on the mountain.

Easy Cowboy
06:22
|
|||
"Slow down."
Beneath the stars, the road is still.
End to end, it doesn't end;
It just goes.
"Slow down."
Beneath the sun, time is still.
The days all swear that they won't end;
They just go.
Time says nothing but "I told you so'"

Red Clay
05:00
|
|||
Wandering the desert seven days all alone.
Flask on my hip, dry as a bone.
Sweat in my eyes, vultures in the sky;
This is where it ends.
Walking in circles in the red clay dream,
the arms of infinity lay before me.
My bloodshot eyes, the blood-red sky;
This is where it ends.
This is where it ends.

Sundial
07:11
|
|||
Pray for the rain to come,
Show me the face of God.
The sky won't fall for me.
Pray for the sky to weep,
show me the hands of God.
The sky won't fall for me.
A shadow runs in circles on the face of the sundial,
it's rain dance bears no fruit,
only shows the Earth's desire
to give and take away.
An eye for an eye,
a hexed exchange with Gaia.
"Sing the sun to sleep!"

Tunnels
06:47
|
|||
There were tunnels in my head.
I followed them to the ocean where they led.
There were tunnels in my head.
I tried to take you with me.
You can follow but can't be led.
There where tunnels in my head.
There were colors in my head.
I saw them through the eye that bled.
There were colors in my head.
Tried to take you with me.
You can follow but can't be led.
There were colors in my head.
